Her Game, Her Rules

Football has never belonged to one type of person. It belongs to anyone who finds joy in the game.

For many young girls, however, finding their place in football has not always been easy. There can be expectations, doubts, and voices telling them that football is not for them. But across streets, schools, parks, and football pitches, a new generation of girls is quietly changing that story.

She started playing because she loved the feeling of the ball at her feet. She stayed because football gave her confidence. Every training session taught her something new—not only about football, but about herself.

There were moments when she was underestimated. There were moments when she had to work twice as hard to be taken seriously. But she continued.

Today, she doesn’t play football to prove that women can play the game. She plays because she loves football.

Her story is part of a much bigger change happening around the world. Girls are coaching, playing, competing, filming, writing, and telling football stories.

The game is changing because the people who love it are changing it.

And she is playing by her own rules.
